Bedroom
The bedroom is small but special.
Among other things, Amundsen had two portholes installed from the frigate Kong Sverre so that the room was like a ship’s cabin.
The wall that divides the bedroom from the dressing room was installed by Jørgen Stubberud after the Fram expedition.
After Amundsen disappeared in 1928, the bed was made up with a bedspread bearing his initials. On the bedside table is a book by Agatha Christie and a magazine from 1926, while in the drawer are two audio scrolls from the speaking clock in the study, insect powder, a cotton swab, some creams, a cartridge and a key.
The entrance to the bedroom is through the dressing room.
