Weather vane

This weather vane was made by engineer Knut Sundbeck aboard the Fram, while the ship was moored in The Bay of Whales, Antarctica, in February 1911. It was installed next to the meteorological screen outside Framheim. After the South Pole expedition, Amundsen brought the weather vane home to Uranienborg, and installed it at the top of the flagpole there.
